"The second scene, Revolution... allowed tenor Nolan Kehler as Bégearss to show that he’s a powerful singer and an energetic actor.”

"... The rather more substantial scene where Essex bursts into the queen's chambers produced some decently dramatic singing from Gwendolyn Yearwood and Nolan Kehler and a large supporting cast." - John Gilks, OperaRamblings (“This is Prophetic!” Against the Grain Theatre & University of Toronto Opera, August, 2019)

After performing as an understudy in the Malaspina Choir’s production of Britten’s Saint Nicholas in 2018, Nolan is excited to add this special Messiah performance to his 2019 season. Under the baton of Lionel Tanod, this performance marks the 10th anniversary of Malaspina’s sing-along Messiah, which also donates part of the proceeds to local charities. Nolan will be joined by soprano Rebecca Collett, mezzo-soprano Julia Morgan, and baritone Michael MacKinnon.
