Nolan Kehler is a multi-talented singer and musician presently based in Victoria, BC. Currently finishing his graduate studies in vocal performance at the University of Victoria, Nolan's performance experience includes the opera and concert stages, with credits in opera, oratorio, musical theatre, contemporary and popular music. More info about Nolan can be found here.

Nolan as a bitter Albert Herring in Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring with the Halifax Summer Opera Festival (2017).

Nolan is thrilled to be reuniting with this incredible group for their grand European excursion this summer! Under the baton of Yuri Klaz, the Singers will be travelling to Spain to participate in the Golden Voices of Barcelona International Choral Festival and Contest. The group will also be appearing in several concerts in Finland including the famous Temppeliaukio Church, or Rock Church.

The learning portion of Nolan’s summer starts on the other side of the country from where he’s been the last two years! Nolan will be spending just over a week learning from some of Canada’s finest artists in this beautiful seaside town, including voice teacher Wendy Nielsen, coach Liz Upchurch, and stage director Tom Diamond.

An artist’s development is never done! Nolan is very much looking forward to spending two weeks in the 6, working with one of Canada’s most innovative and progressive opera companies. Nolan is excited to work on contemporary and modern opera scenes, study with fantastic instructors including the Juno-nominated Miriam Khalil, sing in one of the company’s venerated Opera Pub events, and garner wisdom and advice on how to make it as a singer in 2019 before he… well, tries to make it as a singer in 2019.

After performing as an understudy in the Malaspina Choir’s production of Britten’s Saint Nicholas in 2018, Nolan is excited to add this special Messiah performance to his 2019 season. Under the baton of Lionel Tanod, this performance marks the 10th anniversary of Malaspina’s sing-along Messiah, which also donates part of the proceeds to local charities. Nolan will be joined by soprano Rebecca Collett, mezzo-soprano Julia Morgan, and baritone Michael MacKinnon.
